Sylvie is a French national born in 1973. After 32 years traveling and visiting 36 countries/cities in the world, living 18 years abroad in capital cities, in 2015 she has moved back to her roots in an old farm in the countryside in the French Alps. ------------------------------- Those past years, she has criticize her own way of living and got closer to a natural way of living, closer to the Nature. She tries to minimize as much as possible her environmental impact, stopped to travel by plane, became a vegetarian (with vegan tendencies) and lives nearly at zero waste. She has 4 adorable domesticated sheep. She practices regularly swimming, bicycling, hiking and Pilates. ------------------------------- Since 2015 she has worked as Production Manager for a classical music festival, and as Event Manager for the county tourist board. She currently works in concert hall and has decided to open a new guesthouse: Revenons-à-nos-Moutons ------------------------------- Previously, she lived for 16 years in Rome, where she opened and ran for 10 years two guesthouses : Maria-Rosa Guesthouse & La Casa di Kaia, where she welcomed thousands of guests of 71 nationalities. The guesthouses where included in 12 international guides books, including The Lonely Planet and Le Guide du Routard : http://www.sylvieruzzin.com/Guides.htm She also took classes in Italian, art history, mosaics, photography, drawing, ceramics, graphic design, astronomy and wine tasting. ------------------------------- Sylvie has always had an interest in photography, and she launched her first photo website in 1999. She also got published in ten articles in the English and German press. Her pictures have also won acclaim from diverse editors, photographers, artists and designers, from all over the world. In December 2008, nine of her photos of the event «the Tiber river threatens to burst its banks» have been published, on 32 pages of the online editions of “La Repubblica, National Edition & Rome Edition”. In Rome, she also made and sold a collection of twelve black and white postcards of the city. ------------------------------- Sylvie has also worked in Rome, as Purchase Manager importing products mainly from China/Asia, as Product Manager at the communication department of a publishing house, as Manager in the tourism industry running a small hotel/B&B booking agency ; In France, as PR Expert with an American public relations agency. She started her career in Dublin, as Account in advertising agencies. ------------------------------- Sylvie has a degree in Copy-Writing, Advertising and Communication from the University of Grenoble - France, a Diploma in "English for Commerce" from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a Diploma of "Third Level of Italian" from the University of Siena – Italy.
